Brownbegan the MADRaT team in early 1998 to combine his newfound love of longdistance cycling with the chance of making a contribution to important nationaland community projects. The natural health and fitness advantages of therecumbent bicycle, and its unique appearance, brought partnership from corporateand individual sponsors, and opened the way for aggressive expansion of theproject into 1999 and beyond.

Helsinki hotelsBrownsbackground is diverse. Originally an Electrical Engineer, he has worked for over15 years in the computer industry as a software designer, marketer and businessconsultant. Since 1991, he has broadened his interests, earning Masters degreesin Psychology and Business. Brown now works as an independent consultant, writerand entrepreneur in Atlanta and even teaches a few classes in logic and criticalthinking at Georgia State University. He is an experienced speaker, writer andpromoter with clients in the computer industry as well as in the world ofcycling.

 Brownscycling accomplishments include: 

 Two world recumbent records in the 1999 Ultramarathon Cycling Associations World 24 Championships (12 and 24 hour)

Cross Georgia E-W UMCA record set in 1999

In the top 5 nationally in all divisions of the UMCA National Points Challenge with over 8000 miles in Ultra distance (100+ miles) events in 1999

Completed three century events for the Leukemia Society, raising thousands of dollars for research

First place recumbent finisher and second place overall in 1999 Texas Ironbutt 24 hour race

Sixth recumbent finisher in the 1200km Paris-Brest-Paris race, 1999
