What kind of training does Coastline offer?
In a nutshell Coastline Training and Development, Inc. emphasizes training in the improvement of workplace relationships. This encompasses many things - communication, conflict resolution, teambuilding, leadership training and the like.

How does my business benefit from training?
Your business will proffer from improvements in performance and productivity due to the development of new skills, increased understanding of business goals and willingness to accomplish them. Training also reduces the amount of time we spend in non-value added activity at work.

Good question. This is always tough to answer because it is different, as organizational needs are different. The rule of thumb is to assess what current workplace behavior costs in terms of scrap, waste, lost time, legal fees, etc. That criteria gets reassessed for a specific time period at the conclusion of the training or intervention to determine the results in savings as compared to training costs.

Training and development is often thought of as an expense rather than an investment in human performance improvement. Another way to look at this is what is it costing me not to invest in my workforce?

What is the difference between customized training and "canned" presentation?

"Canned" presentation is designed as a one-size-fits-all approach. Both have their place but customized training yields results directly related to the business.

Does customized training cost more than other training?

Isn't this interpersonal training called soft-skills?
Yes it is but make no mistake about it, it is hard to do. We spend a large part of our day in non value-added people-related activity - "the he-said-she-said", worker performance kinds of events. According to the Pareto Principle, 80% of our people problems come from 20% of our people. Training people to interact effectively and solve their own problems significantly improves that ratio.
