Her mom works occasionally at the store, allowing her to spend many hours reading up on the latest techniques and patterns and feeling the fabric. She is becoming quite the quilter! |
| Well, winter is finally over. I am so anxious for the snow to completely melt. I am really moving around these days. Over Christmas and my birthday I got a lot new toys that I can't wait to play with outside, a bike being one of them. Oma's shop is constantly growing and changing. She never keeps supplies in for very long. And my Opa is now in business for himself in the same building as Oma. His company, Stitches-n-Bytes, takes care of computers and sewing machine repair. So if you are having trouble with your machine, don't hesitate to drop it off for a good cleaning or fixing. Our class list just keeps on growing as well. This past month, my Aunt Patience even did a class and Mom is thinking about doing a few come summer. We have even begun to offer beginning sewing classes for adults and quiltings classes for kids. Oma says I am still too young, but by the time I am old enough, I will be ready to take some the expert classes if I have any say in it!
Grandma just got in some new fabric. I need to go help her check in...I do love playing with the fabric. Be sure to stop by if you're in the area. Maybe it will be on one of my days in the store and we can sit and chat a spell.
