Meet the Artist
Hello. These are my takes on these fine standards. It is basically me just improvising and mucking about. I had the oppertunity to play a Steinway in the winter of 99 and a friend put up some mics. Solopiano is always a challenge and I hope to do some "pro" recordings in the near future. My playing and style have evolved greatly over the last years and this recording represents a step on the ladder in personal development. Well, have a listen and decide for yourself. Thank you for taking the time to listen I hope you enjoy the result! A short description of the songs. 1.Everything happens to me: `d never played this one before. I just found a lead sheet and started playing. 2. Like someone in love: I did a 4tonic reharm. of this one. Got some pretty outthere changes:) 3. Round midnight: Pure improvisation. Most of the time, it is just cool to sit down and play without anything planned and see where it takes you. 4. Stella: You can hear quotes of the melody and again, some new changes.
