Travel Information

Check out TEN's Travel Tips for traveling planning suggestions.

Driving Directions to Venue

Planning to drive in Boston?  What are you nuts???  Seriously, the parking lots are overpriced and have you heard about a little something called  the Big Dig?  Keep your sanity -- take the event shuttle, the T or taxis.

If you really insist upon driving in Boston, then you should check out Boston.com's Traffic or SmarTraveler to get the latest traffic/construction information.

Shuttle Information

The shuttle pass is $50 for the week (note, the LOC apparently changed their mind about the daily pass).  If you are planning to go to SCOB, this is probably the most convenient way to get there.   You can purchase the shuttle pass at the Registration Room at the Sheraton Hotel.

The Routes and Times will be posted at each venue.

FleetCenter Line - leaves every 20 minutes to and from the Sheraton
Matthews Arena Line - leaves every 10 minutes to and from the Sheraton
SCOB Line - leaves every 20 minutes to and from the Sheraton
Hotel Loop - leaves every 20 minutes from the Sheraton.  Stops at the Marriott and Westin Hotel

The Sheraton is the terminus for all routes, hence you can't go from SCOB to
the FleetCenter directly, you need to take the SCOB shuttle back to the
Sheraton to transfer to the FleetCenter shuttle.

Public Transportation

The public transportation system is the MBTA more commonly referred to as the "T."  Check the MBTA web site for schedules, fares, maps, etc.

Matthews Arena

The closest T stations are Mass. Ave. on the Orange Line and Symphony on the E branch of the Green Line.

Note:  If you accidentally find yourself on a B, C, or D train on the Green Line, get off at Hynes/ICA and walk south on Mass Ave.  The Hynes/ICA stop is actually the closest one to the Sheraton, too. (courtesy Sandra Loosemore)

FleetCenter

The closest T station is North Station which is serviced by both the Orange Line and the Green Line.

Skating Club of Boston

Two T bus routes travel down Western Avenue, the SCOB can be accessed from Western Avenue.  It is located across the street from  the Star Market Plaza.

The #86 Bus runs from Harvard Square (Red Line)
The #70 Bus which connects with the Red Line at Central Square

Note:  The SCOB is also served by the #70A bus.  To get to the SCOB from the Matthews/Prudential area, it is more direct to take the #1 bus up Mass. Ave to Central Square to change to the #70/70A, than to mess with taking the Green or Orange Line to the Red Line to Central Square. (courtesy Sandra Loosemore)

For more information including route maps and time schedules check here:

Air Travel Information

NOTE: While Todd is planning to compete in this event, keep in mind that in the event of injury, illness, Todd may have no choice but to withdraw from this event. You may want to wait until the last possible moment to purchase your tickets if you plan to buy restricted/non-transferable fares. Also, it's a good idea to allow adequate time between connecting flights (2 hours) in the event of a flight delay!

The Airport you will want to fly into is: Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)

Tours

There are several tour operators that have packages that include All-Event Tickets and hotel accommodations. I can recommend Silver Blade Tours which has a tour package that includes accommodations at The Westin Hotel, VIP All Event/Exhibition Tickets in Prime Location, shuttle pass to/from the FleetCenter, etc. Contact Claudyne Cassella Hutchinson for more information.
