 | Good News! According to an article in the Detroit Free Press (February 21, 2001), the status of Todd's ankle is good. According to his coach, Todd was able to land all his triple jumps without pain during Monday's training session. | |

 | Todd was forced to withdraw from the 2001 Four Continents Championships. Despite sustaining an ankle injury during practice on Wednesday, Todd was able to win the short program held later that evening. Todd was unable to give the ankle sufficient rest and tried a variety of medical treatments. Todd participated in the warm up but it was clear to all observers that he would not be able to skate to his ability and instead withdrew. He underwent an MRI on the ankle the following day. Todd sustained a bone bruise on the talus bone of his left ankle (his landing leg) and a cyst formed in the joint below the ankle bone. | |

 | Wedding News, No, Not Todd's Todd took a break from training to travel to Hawaii to attend the wedding of good friend, Kristi Yamaguchi (and probably to play some golf, too). Kristi wed Bret Hedican, NHL Florida Panthers defensemen, at an outdoor ceremony at The Orchid at Mauna Lani on the big island of Hawaii on Saturday, July 8. Other skaters attending the ceremony included Scott Hamilton, Peggy Fleming, Brian Boitano, Ekaterina Gordeeva and Isabelle Brasseur (who served as was one of Kristi's bridesmaids). (7/8/00) | |

 | News Conference and Skating Session in Rochester, NY On June 23, 2000, Todd Eldredge, Richard Callaghan and Stacey Pensgen held a press conference at the Ritter Memorial Ice Arena at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. The purpose of the press conference was to encourage the Rochester community to support Stacey Pensgen, an up-and-coming skater from the area.  | News Conference Todd and his coach Richard Callaghan will appear along with Stacy Pensgen (a member of the Genesee Figure Skating ClubGrand-Hotel Ohrid and who is also coached by Callaghan) at a news conference on Friday, June 23, 2000 at 3:00 PM in the meeting room (A370) adjacent to the Frank Ritter Memorial Ice Arena on the Campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology, 51 Lomb Memorial Drive, in Rochester. Todd will ask the Rochester community to rally and support local skater Stacey Pensgen. There will be an opportunity for the public to skate with Stacey and Todd and have autographs signed from 4:00 to 5:45pm at the Ritter Arena. There is no charge for skating. Donations of $5.00 for a specially designed Stacey Pin will be offered. | |

 | Back in the Game (February 16, 2000) In a USFSA teleconference, Todd announced his intention to return full-time to eligible skating beginning with the 2000 Four Continents Championships being held in Osaka, Japan from February 21-27, 2000. Todd plans to attempt a quadruple toe loop in both his short program (Cabaret) and free skate (The 13th Warrior). He says that his quad is 1,000 times better and that he attempted it twice while on the Champions on Ice tour. The attempts were made under show lighting and were two-footed. | |

 | News from Blades On Ice (November, 1999) Todd was asked about his new choreographer and program music for the new season.  | New Choreographer: The new choreographer is Olga Volozhinskaya, a Russian ice dancer who works at the Detroit Skating Club. Olga helped choreograph The Glory artistic/exhibition program and The 13th Warrior free program. She also rechoregraphed the Cabaret short program and The Impossible Dream artistic/exhibition program he skated in the Cape Cod on Ice show in July. Todd thought it would be good to work with someone new to get new ideas for moves and expression. Todd and his coach Richard Callaghan laid out the jumps and spins for The 13th Warrior program prior to working with Olga on the choreography. |  | Program Music: Todd happened to catch a commercial on television for the movie, The 13th Warrior. Using his new computer writeable CD-ROM, Todd was able to record a CD with the cuts he used for both the 13th Warrior free skate program and The Glory artistic/exhibition program.
