Michelle got the most applause, but Rudy in his fishnets, Victor (tons of people couldn't wait for his Michael Jackson medley), and Todd also all got humongous responses; forgive me if I've forgotten anyone else who got a big response....
Performances:
Todd really seemed on during "Pity the Child" and got really great responses before and after (I added my shy little "woo hoo" to the cheering LOL), and applause at various moves. My mom (who is *always* a human bundle of nerves) finally stopped looking around the arena in the dark and closely watched his whole program (and I didn't even have to tell her to *g*). They later said he's the "intelligent, sophisticated skater" and is "graceful yet dramatic" (that last part was to explain why they find Michelle's grace boring, but hey, I'm enlightening them gradually *g* ;-) As before they never even *remembered* Todd from any of the skating broadcasts they watched, their appreciating him now came as a bit of a shock LOL. My dad even remembered some of the lyrics to the song (which, despite Colm's near-screeching at times, I still love *g*).
I really liked the finale, though you know, it's very difficult to watch both all of the skaters and *only Todd* at once ;) I did my best LOL. As people have said, he is *really* into it - very loose and hyper and enjoying it. He seemed more "into it" than anyone else LOL. | |
