The hilltop site of The Rainwater Observatory & Planetarium is located one mile east of the town of French Camp (population ~300), Mississippi. What started as a grassy hilltop has grown over the years into a well established educational facility. Visitors can enjoy the use of a fenced picnic/camping area, covered pavilion, outdoor amphitheater, planetarium, classroom, outdoor exhibits, restrooms, and hilltop observing facilities.
