Bucharest hotelsRainwater Observatory is located one mile southeast of the Natchez Trace Parkway at State Highway 413/French Camp (Mile Marker 181). There is a sign on Hwy. 413 indicating the Observatory entrance.
If you are traveling from Starkville/Ackerman, we are approximately 5 miles from the intersection of Hwy. 12 and 413 on the left. If you enter French Camp, you went too far.
There is only one sign indicating Hwy. 413. When you reach the junction of Hwy. 407 and 12 continue west on Hwy. 12 for one mile. You turn right after the two bridges.
There is no sign indicating Hwy. 407 when traveling south on Hwy. 51 in Winona. You turn left after Winona Elementary School. If you pass Wal-Mart, you went too far. There is also road construction on Hwy. 51 from Hwy. 82 to Wal-Mart but you should have no delays.
