Pelphrey to Attend East Cobb Civic Association Forum

Welcomes First Chance for Debate in Seven Months of Campaigning

Sixth District Congressional candidate Gary Pelphrey is looking forward to discussing theissues with his seven opponents at a public forum 7:30 pm tomorrow at the East CobbGovernment Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta.

Pelphrey believes strongly in greater participation in elections – by voters and bycandidates. He has urged groups across the Sixth District to hold forums, and to bring allcandidates together to take part.

cheap hotels in LinzLast June, Gary challenged Newt Gingrich to debate the issues early and often, saying thetwo of them owed the voters that much. Gingrich, whose withdrawal from Congress has leftthe Sixth District unrepresented in the U. S. House and made the February 23 specialelection necessary, never responded to the challenge.

Pelphrey invites everyone who is concerned about the mess in government and wants to dosomething about it to attend the East Cobb forum and/or any of the other candidate forumsset up between now and “special-election day” – Tuesday, February 23. The East Cobb Government Center is at 4400 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta. [Directions:Take exit 111 (Delk Road) east from I-75, and keep going straight. Delk Road becomesTerrell Mill Road in about a mile; after another mile or so, the road turns into LowerRoswell Road. The center is a big building in a relatively cleared area on the right(south) side of the road.]
