You may access the Illinois Prairie Path by heading from the northernmost portion of thetrail at Herrick Road and Butterfield. Cross Butterfield and then Herrick. Head north on the sidewalk. After the High School is the Prairie path. Head west (left) for about a mile and you will reach Blackwell Preserve.
