Rider's Comments: This 297-acre preserve west of Joliet on Route 59north of Route 52 has three miles of trails that run on high bluffs along the river andthrough woodland. From the Grinton Grove parking area, a .5-mile packed earth loop trailheads north through an oak/maple woodland to Shorewood Grove where it connects to a 1-mileloop trail that continues north to Hidden Shelter. The eastern side of these loop trailsoffers a climb first up and then along a bluff high above the river for a great view.
