Rider's Comments: This site along the I&M Canal dates back to the1850s. There are foundations from old buildings and ruins of blast furnaces, stoves,limestone quarry ponds, underground tunnels, and slag piles. There are two trails: the2.7-mile crushed limestone Heritage Trail along the I&M Canal and a 1-mile concretehiking-only path through the ruins with interpretive signposts along the way. Park onColumbia Street near Route 30.
