Email Management and Omniva Policy Manager

Records management programs reduce the risk associated with keeping business records beyond their legal and operational requirements. Unmanaged email archives have become a serious and growing risk for corporations. Until now, however, applying retention schedules to email has been a largely manual, and therefore ineffective, process.

To address this growing risk, Omniva Policy Systems has developed software called "Omniva Policy Manager" that enables companies for the first time to effectively manage and minimize email archives. Extending the lessons of paper retention policies, Omniva Policy Studio allows policy administrators to centrally define, implement and enforce email retention guidelines. Using Omniva Policy Manager, messages of record value can be kept in accordance with legal and operational requirements of the business; the content of all other messages can be expired according to a centrally administered email retention policy.
