Mike BurklandMike Burkland joined Disappearing Inc. as CEO in September, 2000, and brings years of experience in building and leading enterprise software companies. Before joining Disappearing Inc., Mike was the founder and CEO of Eventus Software, a leading developer of Web content management software which was acquired by Segue Software. Prior to that, he held various sales, business development and management positions with Patrol Software, a pioneer in database systems management which was acquired by BMC Software in 1994. Before joining Patrol Software, Mike served as a sales executive with Oracle Corp., where he consistently exceeded sales quotas. He holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Eric HahnEric Hahn is the founding partner of the Inventures Group, a leading "mentor investment'' firm based in Palo Alto, California. At Inventures, Mr. Hahn has served as a Director and/or has been actively involved with companies including Accept.Com, Kana, Red Hat, LoudCloud and RemarQ. Previously, Mr. Hahn served as the CTO for Netscape Communications, Inc. and a member of the company's Executive Committee. Mr. Hahn was the founder and CEO of Collabra Software, Inc., a leading groupware provider that was acquired by Netscape in 1995. Prior to Collabra, Mr. Hahn ran the cc:Mail division of Lotus Development Corporation. Mr. Hahn began his career at Bolt, Beranek and Newman where he worked on the Arpanet, precursor to the Internet. Mr. Hahn holds a BS and honorary PhD in Computer Science from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Doug MackenzieDoug Mackenzie joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 1989, and became a Partner in 1992. Previously he held senior level sales, marketing and operations roles in Eczel Corporation, a reseller of microcomputer products which he helped start in 1983. Before joining Eczel, Doug was a management consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he specialized in operations and information management. Doug began his career at IBM in their Menlo Park applications development center. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Marimba (public), Pivotal (public), E.piphany (public) and HomeGrocer (public), as well as the following private companies: WeddingChannel.com (formerly Della.com), Gigabeat, and Disappearing, Inc.. Previously Doug had been either a Director of, or actively involved with KPCB's investments in Collabra Software (acquired by Netscape), Crystal Dynamics (acquired by Eidos), Edmark (public, acquired by IBM), Individual (public), On Technology (public), Preview Travel (public), Shiva (public), and Visio Corporation (public, acquired by Microsoft). He has also led KPCB's investments in iVillage (public), MMC Networks (public), Intraware (public), Kibu, Zagat's, and Upromise. Maclen MarvitMaclen Marvit has more than fifteen years of experience in technology and engineering management. During that time, Maclen has held executive positions at a variety of Internet companies, including the pioneer online advertising company, Narrowline, and the virtual reality company, Worlds Incorporated. He has been active in the standards community, authoring major portions of the World Wide Web Consortium's Privacy Preferences P3P Project. Maclen's other accomplishments include extensive research projects at IBM and NASA. He holds a U.S. patent in networking architectures and graduated from Caltech with degrees in engineering and physics. Richard SeeRichard See is an observer of Disappearing Inc.'s board, and the Assistant General Manager, Corporate Development Department, Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. He has over 15 years M&A, LBO, and investment experience. His most recent venture investments include health care (combinatorial chemistry) and telecommunications. He also oversees Mitsui's US network of more than 100 subsidiaries/affiliates and executed acquisitions, investments, and divestitures. His experience includes Citicorp, where he managed a $1.6 billion portfolio related to major investment banks, the Bank of New York, and Chase Manhattan Bank. He coordinated providing senior loans, mezzanine debt, and direct equity ownership. He graduated with a BA from Trinity College. Bob ToddBob Todd is an entrepreneur with 20 years of experience with technology companies. He has founded or been a founding investor/director in several startups, two of which are now public companies with combined annual sales in excess of $6 billion. Bob's operating experience includes 10 years as a founder and CEO of Flextronics, and five years as the CEO of CAS, Inc. Bob has an MBA from Stanford University and an A.B. in statistics from Princeton University.
