Mike Burkland, Chairman, President and CEOMike Burkland joined Omniva Policy Systems as chief executive officer in September 2000, and brings years of experience in building and leading enterprise software companies. Before Omniva Policy Systems, Burkland was the founder and CEO of Eventus Software, a leading developer of Web content management software which was acquired by Segue Software. Prior to that, he held various sales, business development and management positions with Patrol Software, a pioneer in database systems management which was acquired by BMC Software in 1994. Before joining Patrol Software, Burkland served as a sales executive with Oracle Corporation. He holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Kumar Sreekanti, Senior VP of EngineeringKumar Sreekanti was most recently Vice President of Engineering for the Streaming Media Group at Akamai Technologies where he managed a large team located in four geography's and oversaw three major service offerings for Akamai: FreeFlow Streaming, Akamai Forum and Akamai Conference. Prior to Akamai, Sreekanti has held senior level management engineering positions at Adaptec (Enterprise Software Group, Networking Products Group and NT Technology Office), Mylex Corporation, Conner Peripherals and Micropolis Corporation. From 1984-1991, Sreekanti spent time in software engineering and consulting at International Software Designs, Norsk Data A.S. Oslo, Norway (Norsk Data (India) Ltd., Madras, India) and Digital Software Systems Ltd. Sreekanti has a M.S. in electrical and electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a B.S. in electronics and communications engineering from the University College of Engineering, India. Allison Wing, VP of Business Development and MarketingAllison Wing was most recently senior vice president of Business Development at Gazoontite.com, where she was responsible for raising more than $30 million in venture financing. Previously, Wing was a corporate securities associate at Gunderson Dettmer, LLP, where she represented venture capitalists, investment banks, and a variety of technology startup companies, including AboveNet Communications, Ipsilon Networks, and Legato Systems. Prior to practicing law, she was a turnaround management consultant at Hamstreet & Company, Inc., and a strategic planning manager at Nike, Inc. Wing earned a double BA in Communications and International Affairs from Lewis & Clark College, a J.D. from Northwestern University's School of Law and an MBA from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. John Dawes, VP of Product MarketingJohn Dawes was most recently vice president of Product Management and Marketing at Greenlight.com where he oversaw product planning and development of the Greenlight site and managed marketing programs for acquiring new customers. In early 2001, Greenlight was acquired by CarsDirect. Prior to Greenlight, Dawes spent more than ten years managing and developing software products. He spent more than three years at Netscape where he was Director of Product Management for Netscape's Application and Web server product line that runs some of the largest e-commerce sites on the Internet. Previously, he worked as a product manager at Adobe for Acrobat and at Microsoft, and as a software development lead at several software startups. Dawes has a M.A. in computer science from Stanford and a BA from Dartmouth. | |||||||||
